Senz umbrella

The Senz Umbrella is a storm proof umbrella which survives all weather conditions due to its a-symmetrical design and its strength. Actiflow assisted the Senz Umbrella designers by performing flow simulations on the umbrella. Based on the simulations, it was possible for the designers to estimate the aerodynamic forces on the umbrella in all weather conditions. The effect of design modifications could also be analysed through simulations. Based on the project results, the structural requirements for the ribs could be determined.
