Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding

As a consulting assignment for Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding, Actiflow performed a CFD study to analyse the airflow around a marine ship. Different apparent wind speeds and wind directions were taken into account. The simulated flow fields were then validated by comparison with wind tunnel measurement results. Through CFD, the influence of several ship components on the flow field around the ship could be determined. As such, insight was gained into the working conditions on the ship.
